Prepare for an extraordinary introduction to the flagship varieties, regions and wine styles of Hungary through internationally acclaimed award-winning wines. Two experts guide you through this journey of winemaking excellence where each sip is a testament to Hungary’s viticultural heritage and commitment to quality.

Dr Gabriella Mészáros is an international wine consultant, wine writer, one-to-one wine tutor, and the first qualified WSET Diploma holder in Hungary. Her school had served as an invaluable springboard for those wishing to capitalise on the knowledge they gained in the wine industry, be it oenology, sales, hospitality, wine writing, or education. Mészáros is a deeply committed ambassador of popularising the culture of wine in general, and Hungarian wines in particular. Owing to her efforts, many amateur connoisseurs as well as winery staff and their families have mastered the secrets of Hungarian wine, pointing the way to a new generation of winemakers for a consummate balance between tradition and progress.

András Horkay is the founder and director of the Central European Wine Institute (CEWI) which provides WSET wine education courses in Hungary. He is a WSET Diploma graduate (Dip WSET) and a WSET certified wine lecturer (CE). He’s been promoting Hungarian wines and wine regions both at home and abroad since 2010.
