Béres Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos, 2016

Brilliant, deep amber-coloured wine speciality with a distinctively intense, unique, and rich aroma. Extremely complex, showing in its taste everything that is in its aroma: dried fruit, tea, smoke, barrel spices. Honey-sweet, but with very high acidity that brings citrus freshness and elegance. Full-bodied, complex, layered wine with an endless finish. It excels as a dessert, but also elevates all sweet flavours to new heights.

  • Brief description of viticulture, fermentation, vinification and maturation: Individually hand-picked and selected Hárslevelű and Furmint aszú grapes were soaked in clean, fermenting 100% Furmint base wine overnight. The aim of soaking is to enrich the material to be pressed with the alcohol and carbon dioxide produced during the onset of fermentation. This Aszú was aged for 36 months in Szerednye-type, Zemplén oak barrels, then bottled.
